Pianist Yuehong Zhu is a doctoral student in piano performance at the University of North Texas, where he also serves as a teaching assistant, under the tutelage of Dr. Pamela Paul. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degree in piano performance from Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, graduating with honors.

His artistic development has been enriched by master classes with distinguished artists and pedagogues including Douglas Humpherys, Christopher Taylor, Boaz Sharon, Michael Bukhman, Danwen Wei, Chen Jiang, and Yunlin Yang.

Yuehong has received recognition in numerous piano competitions. Recently, he won the Third Prize at the Memphis International Piano Competition in November 2025. His previous honors include First Prize in the Shanghai International Youth Piano Competition, Special Gold Prize in the Sixth China-South Korea International Music Competition, and the YAMAHA Asian Music Scholarship.

In addition to his performance career, Yuehong has extensive teaching experience, working with students ranging from young beginners to pre-professional and professional-level musicians. He has guided students through ABRSM examinations and has helped several students gain admission offers from leading conservatories, including the Royal Northern College of Music and Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. Many of his students have also received awards in piano competitions under his guidance.
